The Utah Engineering Experiment Station

The Utah legislature founded the Utah Engineering Experiment Station (UEES) in 1909 to link industry with the University of Utah's resources and to perform engineering related services that are in the interest of the state and the people of Utah.

Working as part of the Technology Venture Development office at the University of Utah, the UEES supports commercially sponsored research in a project management role.

The UEES works primarily with the faculty and students of the College of Mines and Earth Sciences and the College of Engineering to identify and solve technical problems of concern to the public and private sectors. Working collaboratively with industry, campus researchers are targeting their research to solve private sector technical problems.

The UEES director and staff are experienced project managers with extensive experience, both in the private sector and within the university environment. Proven approaches are used to ensure that projects are effectively tracked, and are completed on time and within budget.
